Mercedes Benz launched a new car in India ‘G63 AMG’. This is the more powerful version of the G-Class SUV in India. The G-Class will be called the G63 AMG. If you clearly remember, this is not the first high powered G-Class launched that you have seen in India. Back in 2010, we brought you all the live updates from the G55 AMG launch floor. But that was then and this is now! The new Mercedes Benz G63 impresses with state of the art drive technology, expressive design and increased fuel economy. This is comfortable for five people.
The G63 AMG is powered by a 5.5 liter twin turbo V8 that generates healthy 537 bhp of power and 760 N of torque. The Mercedes Benz G63 gets speed up to 100 km in just 5 seconds. The maximum speed of G63 AMG is 210 km per hour. There is not a lot of eco-friendly lightness engineered into this G63 AMG.

Things inside are more different, though. Mainly, the entire dash and center stack have been revamped to reflect a more familial look of the company actually commissioning the G’s Build. All G-Class units are built by Steyr-Puch in Graz, Austria, and have been since the range’s start of production in 1979.
“We will launch at least three more new models which includes A- Class premium hatchback, SUV GL and a diesel variant of B-Class” Mercedes Benz India Managing Director and Chief Executive Eberhard Kern told reporters. Kern said he accepts the luxury car market to do better this year in the country compared to last year, when the sales were reasonable.
However, Kern said much would depend on the forthcoming Budget, “We are hopeful of relaxation in taxes and don’t except they will go further up. Taxes here are already much higher than many countries.” He also said the company plans to add six new outlets this year as it seeks to roll out new products in the coming months.
